LGBTQIA+ Advocacy Award Winner
< AwardsBuilding a culture of belonging where each Point B’er can bring their full, authentic selves to work is critically important to us here at Point B. Which is what makes being named an inaugural LGBTQIA+ Advocacy Award Winner by Built In such an honor.
In May 2022, Built In reached out for nominations of companies that go above and beyond for the LGBTQIA+ community. Out of 100 U.S.-based nominees, the judges considered LGBTQIA+ representation in the workplace, benefits and initiatives tailored to LGBTQIA+ employees, as well as hiring, retention and engagement tactics used to welcome and uplift LGBTQIA+ talent.
Point B was named one of the Top 25 honorees in June 2022, marking a celebratory end to Pride Month. Specific benefits from Point B that were considered and highlighted in the final ranking include: a wellness stipend to spend on anything that improves wellbeing, mindfulness and more for all employees, the employee-led Business Resource Group for LGBTQIA+ Point B’ers known as bProud, as well as our corporate partnership with the Greater Seattle Business Association, an LGBTQIA+ Business Chamber.
The work continues with plans to have campus recruiting efforts with an LGBTQIA+ focus, releasing gender transition guidelines and updating LGBTQIA+ affirming language for philanthropic giving and supplier engagement, actively looking to expand healthcare benefits to support all employees, and continuing our internal LGBTQIA+ education.
We are incredibly proud of the work our people put in in each day to make our company and the world a better, more equitable place for all.
