Best Workplace for Disability Inclusion, 2023
< AwardsGlobally, over 1 billion individuals are impacted by a disability. It’s a natural part of the human experience, and it intersects with other factors, including age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status and religion. That’s why accessibility – in all of its forms – is a key to a more equitable future for all.
We’re honored to have been named a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion by Disability:IN, scoring a 90 on the Disability Equality Index. Point B was named as a Top Scorer among the other corporations that utilized the benchmark this year. Our score represents the continuous work that has been done, with progress in areas such as culture and leadership, enterprise-wide access, employment practices such as benefits, recruitment, employment, education, retention, advancement and accommodations, as well as community engagement, supplier diversity, and non-U.S. operations.
“Receiving this recognition from Disability:IN not only highlights how our employees prioritize and uplift each other's well-being but also underscores our firm's ongoing commitment to inclusivity and equality. We are fully dedicated to advancing the well-being, acceptance, and success of our employees in the future. This achievement enables us to set clear, measurable objectives as we continue to progress on our journey towards holistic employee wellness,” Emma Jefferies, Leader of bAbled, the disability and caregiver-focused business resource group at Point B.
The Disability Equality Index is a comprehensive benchmarking tool that helps companies build a roadmap of measurable, tangible actions that they can take to achieve disability inclusion and equality. It is a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), the nation’s largest disability rights organization, and Disability:IN, the global business disability inclusion network, to collectively advance the inclusion of people with disabilities.
We are deeply grateful for the members of our team that contribute to making our firm a more accessible and welcoming place each day, including members of bAbled.
