SEATTLE (March 5, 2008) — Point B Solutions Group LLP, the first professional services firm to focus exclusively on project leadership and execution, has named Mike Pongon as its new chief operating officer (COO). Pongon brings 12 years of experience to this role and recently led the Portland Point B practice to multiple years of triple-digit revenue growth. As COO, Pongon will lead firm operations across its seven practices in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Portland, San Francisco and Seattle, as well as help the firm realize its vision through execution of important firm-wide strategies.

“I’m excited about this opportunity to be able to work more closely with all of Point B’s associates across the country – and honored to be able to contribute to our associates’ established track record of excellent service to our many clients,” says Pongon.

Founded in Seattle in 1995, Point B provides clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 corporations with locally-based senior leaders who can step into any segment or role in a mission-critical project and help lead it to success. An $80 million firm with 350-plus associates nationwide, Point B successfully completed more than 700 projects for clients last year.

Pongon joined Point B in 2000 after more than five years as a project manager for DBM Systems, Inc. Most recently, Pongon served as the Point B managing director supporting the firm’s Portland and Los Angeles practices. From 2002 to 2007, Pongon led the Point B Portland practice, working with local clients like Kaiser Permanente, Fred Meyer, Mentor Graphics, Providence Health & Services, and Planar.

“Creating the COO role will help strengthen Point B’s operations and ensure that our clients receive the value of the collective wisdom of our firm from every associate on every engagement,” said Tim Jenkins, co-founder of Point B. “Mike exemplifies the quality of associates we have at Point B. We are excited to have all of our associates interact with him and benefit from his experience, his proven record of success and his passion for delivering the best results for our clients.”

In addition to Pongon’s leadership role at Point B, he is committed to local community service activities in the Portland area. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for Oregon’s Multiple Sclerosis Society Chapter, where he serves as the Governance Chair, and the Board of Directors for the Portland Trauma Intervention Program, where he most recently served as Board Chair.
